You can't say one is going to be better than the other. A bad driver can make the best car suck, and a good driver can make the worst car shine. At the last autocross event I attended, a stock 2nd gen Eclipse RS on race tires got in the top 1/3 course time, out of about 55 cars total. He was faster than an S2000 by about 3-4 seconds. He was faster than my car by over 5 seconds. He was also faster than BOTH of the modified WRX's out there. It's all about the skill.
