I've got a 93 lx and for quite some time I've thought that I just needed new shocks and bushings because of this loud noise i get everytime I go over small bumps. After taking the wheels off the front today I noticed that on my drivers side, where the steering comes out, the boot is broken, and there is a bunch of grease everywhere. It reminds me of when a cv boot busts. Anyways, the passanger side is fine and doesn't seem to make any noise, but the side with the busted boot does make noise...so I think I've found my problem. BUT....what is under that boot? Is there some kind of joint or gearing under there....because whatever is there is somewhat messed up and is allowing enough play in the system to cause a noise. Please help me with this one. I'm not very familiar with this steering system. It looks to be whatever the tie rod end connects to inside that boot. Thanks for your help. Bob
