We pulled my valve cover off and put a big fun over the engine bay and let it run for about 2 hours before doing the adjustment. This Honda mechanic is probably the best in Charlotte and has been working on them since Hondas were first being imported into the US, so I respect his ability and judgement. He's been able to troubleshoot problems that other mechanics couldn't figure out. All I know that is if he said that the motor should be cold(or at least not hot), then there must be a good reason for it.
