you need to take the flasher relay out of the fuse box (it should be in the front of the fuse box under your dash.) take the casing apart and you'll see a resistor, not a transistor. :nono: measure the resistance on it or take it to radio shack and they'll do it for you. if you want it to blink faster, get one with less resistance. if you want it to blink slower, get one with a larger resistance.
however, resistors are rated by wattage and resistance. for your blinkers you'll have to measure how much current is being absorbed by the relay and lights. you can use an ammeter or ask someone.

if you have trouble and are serious, ask me and i'll find out for you.. only after you try yourself.
once you know that, you can find the power rating you'll need.
Power = Voltage * Current.
go to radio shack or any electronic store and get the desired resistance with a power rating higher than what's needed. this is to assure yourself that the resistor will not burn.
ex.) let's say your factory resistor is 1000ohm at 8.5 watts, and you want a quicker blink.. you'll try to find a resistor of 500ohm (2 times quicker blinking) at 9 watts or whatever is the next available increment.
good luck :thumbup:
