if its cold out and its the 1st time ive driven the car car for a few hours, i let the car sit for about 30 sec before i get going. your car warms up faster when u drive it. there's no point in warming up your car for more than a minute. by then, oil is already circulating thru the system. i just go easy on the engine till its at operating temp.

ive always used 10w30 in my hondas. you only need the thinner 5w30 if you live in cold climates. the thinner oil circulates faster on cold startup
