so... the biggest selling points were small footprint, and crisp still images for the LCD... but the only ones with a quick enough refresh time (25ms or less) were the Samsung Synchmaster 172N, and the Sony... however, the Synchmaster 172N has become antiquated and Samsung really needs a quicker refresh (<15ms) in order to keep up with computers like mine that run 150+FPS on Quake III & Unreal... I played on the guys computer across the hall, and shoot 'em ups on the Samsung (rated #1 by multiple sources... same LCD as the Dell) were fairly ghosted & text blurred the brighter it was turned...


Thank god for CRT's...
