Still pictures are the strong point of LCD.
My Viewsonic LCD had a better picture quality than my Mitsubishi CRT.
However LCD have their inconvenience.
First, you can't change their resolution without losing picture quality. My LCD was rated 1280x1024 for best picture quality. Need to step that down and you get an awful picture. Try to play any games in 1280x1024, and you'll get shitty performances...
And when it comes to FPS game that are fast like UT, then you get that ghosting effect.
LCD are great for general use... but ghey for gaming. Period.
