92-93 GSR's had 1.7 litres, and 90-93 all others had 1.8 liters. I'm fairly certain that ALL starters are completely swappable with each other.
It's a '96 GSR. One course, whom I trust, said that he needed to see the engine before he could tell me which starter he would use. I don't remember specifics, just that there was two sizes and one starter would cost about $30 more versus the other.
