I know i could do a yahoo search and find alot of answers.... but id rather get peoples opinions here too....

first off.... if you were going to buy a newer or new GTI... which model/engine combo would u get? What options?

Overall.. what do u think about the GTI's? Pros/cons... i know reliability isnt always great, but i think its just something to deal with.

Heres the story... I have a 94 honda accord... and have future plans for the car... exhaust, header, kit, seats, etc..... but it seems like this might be a waste of money, considering the car is 10 yrs old, with 155k miles.... auto slowmatic. I'm thinking a better decision might be to just get rid of it, and start off with a new car, or 1-2 yrs old.... so atleast im not just throwing money into something thats not gonna last *that* long.... and more money is going to be needed to keep it from aging.. paint etc....

So what do u think?

heres a pic of my car... as it is now. I live at home, no bills besides the car and school.... Make about a whopping $750 after taxes a month(part time). About $1,000 in checking, and $3k in savings as of right now.
