When you remove the cover, you will see the two belts... they look identical, save for the timing belt being much longer. I had my timing belt and balance shaft replaced, water pump, crank case seal, and balance shaft seal replaced. Only replace the valve cover gasket if it is leaking, mine was still good on my 96 w/ 93kl miles, so I saw no reason to replace it...and chances are the gasket is still good on the 97. As for the accesory belts, 5th gen Accord does not use a serpentine belt... you have a power steering pump belt and an alternator belt. These should be replaced with the timing belt also, since you already have everything off and the two belts are only about $23 at the most (I only use Gates, which is on par with Honda quality) Hope this helps.
i was assuming they were serpentine belts because i paid for 2 of them according to my receipt for the timing belt/water pump change.
