When it first started to slip I brought it to the dealer. They said the fluid was dirty so I changed it...drained 3..filled 3 and did that 3 times over a short period of time.

Flushing the transmission was the first action to resolve the problem. If that proved insufficient then the trasmission would need to be replaced.

Funny how the two solutions are two extremes.
