I would take the original OBD0 engine harness, and use it (cause it has the appropriate shock tower plugs) and mate OBD1 plugs, where you need to change to plug into the motor.
Then get an OBD0-OBD1 ecu conversion harness, and use the OBD1 ecu.
That's how I've done it.
