Again you heed good advice, but its your money to spend. Most people that buy trucks get autos because like everyone said they are a lot more useful.
Well, I thought about what everyone has said, and I thought some more, I had all weekend to decide if this was what I needed and wanted. You're right, it would be a lot more reasonable to get an automatic, but personally, I don't prefer them.
I went back to Honda last night to look one last time at the truck, I crawled underneath the truck, and really looked at it. I don't see any color variations, like where maybe they couldn't match the paint well, which is a good sign. I am not going to totally disregard that the truck could have been wrecked, I am definately taking all you guys' advice and getting a carfax on the truck.
I'm not buying the truck for any specific purpose, I don't haul stuff, I don't go mudding, 4 wheeling, or anything like that. I really wanted an SUV but couldn't find one in my price range.
I really appreciate all your advice guys, I am going to go in there skeptical before I sign for anything, Is there any questions I need to ask? I really didn't want to get to indepth in asking them questions about the truck until I knew that I was approved. If I am approved for $12,000, there is also a tacoma on the lot I noticed last night, If the truck isn't going to meet my needs, there is always the tacoma, which is priced at 11,500. I am sure i can talk them down a little on it.
Other than that, What are some typical questions you would ask about a vehicle? I've never bought one, and I wasn't there when the Honda was bought, so I am totally clueless. I really APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!
