As far as knowing how to drive a truck, Yes, I know how to drive a truck. I learned how to drive, period, on my dad's truck. This is a little bigger, but i'm quite sure i'll get the hang of it quick.

The loan should be approved on Monday, and If i don't have it in my posession monday, I'll be driving it off the lot tuesday morning 
The truck could be totalled and unless it was reported to insurance carfax won't say a thing.
Again you heed good advice, but its your money to spend. Most people that buy trucks get autos because like everyone said they are a lot more useful.
