Default Slushbox Integra questions...

In a few months I'll be in the market for a car. My mom currently has a '99 Integra LS as a daily driver, that she will be replacing come winter time. My parents have offered to sell it to me at a fair price.

That's all well and good, but the car is an automatic. I hate automatics, and the Integra transmission is slow to downshift. I realize the likely answer to this question is "NO", but would it be worth it try and do a manual swap given the large amount of used/junkyard and swapability Honda parts?

My other option -- the more practical one -- would be to try and find a similar Integra with a manual transmission, or a buy a '99-'00 Si. But, used Integras seem to be holding their value quite well, even the LS. Ditto for Si's. I could probably buy my mom's car for a good price, plus I know the car has been serviced well and not abused.

Thanks,
Jonathan
