Autos do still tend to go for at least the same price, as auto is considered an option and is more "luxurious." A guy interested in going fast and mod'ing it will want a manual, but the majority of the "normal" population wants an automatic for that type of car.

The milage will kill the value, however, and the problems you listed don't help it either. You can probably see about $1700 out of it though.
