i am getting ready to sell my stock black 4/dr 91 acura teg and was wondering what you guys would expect to pay for it in this condition... bluebook is telling me it is around 2000 but this price is variable because so many things could be reasons why i checked the "poor condition" box.
it has cloth/ tan interior(few minor burns and a few stains that cant be covered by floormat, plus a worn out spot on the left side of the drivers seat) otherwise the interior is perfect.
The outside has a blemish or two, but i just waxed it and it still looks mean. the right front fender and first 6 inches of the front passenger side door are beat up from a deer rolling down the side of my car.( i pulled out the major dents and sanded and sprayed with some cheap black spray paint to minimize rust where the paint cracked around a few dents. it looks amazingly good though!) other than that except for two or three rock or hail damages in the hood an roof the exterior looks almost perfect.
it drives great, but is rolling on CHEAPO tires that majorly reduced ride quality. has 273,000 miles and is still in the condition of a domestic at about 80,000 miles ;O)
To be like new it needs:
CV joint (quoted at 275 installed)
brake rotors and pads, front only(guessing about 200 installed)
Due for a timing belt(what, maybe $100 installed?)
buy a black fender wholesale or junkyard(200?)
what do you guys think, if i discounted the cars price from the 2000 mark and figured in good tires and money to pay someone else(much cheaper if done by self) to fix these problems, the car would technicaly only be worht about $900 dollars. That seems too cheap to sell a driveable car that has been so dependable and a blast to drive. what do you guys think?
