There is a way to check the srs codes. Just go a search on google, and if you can't find it, let me know. I've got it saved somewhere. Also, airbags are not as touchy as everyone seems to think they are. I've had mine out tons of times (easier to get the dash out with the steering wheel off). As long as you use the safety jumper, and either pop the fuse, of disconnect the battery, you're good to go.
