agent87: If you set the sensitivity of the shock sensor high enough, there is no way you can get into the engine bay without setting off the alarm. And yes, you would be foolish to not use a backup battery.

civicsiracer: That is why your pager sys. worked so well. At that time clifford was the shit when it came to alarms. DEI however hasn't really come around with their pager sys. until they released the Viper 790XV and the clifford (nw owned by DIE) equiv. DEI, from what I remember, makes up the majority of all alarm sales in the US anymore, esp. if you go to circuit city, best buy, or tweeter. I've even seen alot of the local tuner shops sell nothing but (they're about the cream of the crop anymore). That's why I recomend staying away from the stand alone pager sys. for the DEIs. That just comes from exp. And take it from me, cuz I've sold and installed some $1000+ alarm systems from DEI and I have nothing but customer feed back to go on.
