This vehicle has mixed info spread all over, with the basis behind an SUV/wagon/crossover type vehicle powered by the Cobalt ecotec at 140-220hp.
The HHR codename stands for HeritageHighRoof and will hopefully have a much better name when it hits the NAIAS this January. "HHR" doesn't roll off the tongue as well as SSR, which is the inspiration for this vehicle.
IMO this is the lamest attempt yet by Chevy/GM to be cool and hip. I just looked at it and said "welcome to 1998, hello PT cruiser". The entire design is pieced together from other brands, and bits from their own SSR. As you can see from the photos below, and from a quote by The Car Connection, this vehicle is purely Chrysler: "Styling was aided by Bryan Nesbitt of PT Cruiser fame"

>>a Dodge Durango concept shot for comparison
The main thing no one knows FOR SURE is what chassis and dimensions it will have. Most have it pegged as a Cobalt sized wagon, which would make it a perfect twin for the PT.
What do you guys think? I for one can't figure why they would want to build this.
