I have a BP1200 and it is stable at 1 ohm. It makes the same power (1200 watts) at both 2 and 1 ohm. It says so in the manual.

As for the amp choice itself, I say good job.:thumbup: It's better to have a bigger amp because you'll have the power ready to go if you ever upgrade to different subs requiring more power.
