Nittos are known to be shittos. They are one of the worse tires (sans Nitto 555R (drag radial)) you can get. If you get 15s get 205/50x15" as opposed to the next size from 185/65x14" to 195/55x15". You will get a little wider contact patch, speedo and odometer doesn't change much.
For summer driving I recommend:- Falken Azenis
- Yokohama ES100
- Kumho MX
- Kumho 712
- Toyo T1S (although I don't think they come in 15s)
- BFG KDs (if you have money to spend)
- Sumoito HTRZ II
- and if you want hardcore - Yokohama A032Rs
i agree nitto = the sucks!
Toyo T1S do come in 15" and they do make 195/55/15
they aren't cheap but they are super light!
comparing kumho ecast supra 712 in the same 195/55/15 size
the kumhos are 19.30 lbs each while the Toyo T1-S are only 16.50lbs
so you save 2.8lbs in rotational weight at each corner times 4 = 11.2lbs. pretty significant if you ask me.
The Toyo T1-S also come in 205/50/15 at 18.50lbs and $106 each.
of course the kumhos are $60 each and the toyos are $102 each :rick:
