I see all these cars without hood pins on a carbon fiber hood. I was just wondering if that was actually safe. What brand hood can you get without needing hood pins? I would like to run without pins, but if I have a good chance of my hood flying up at high speeds, ill put some pins on. Any info would be great.

They could have just the "carbon fiber look" vinyl. I know a kid who had that on his Civic until he could afford to get the real thing.
