you'll feel it bog down as the RPMs increase past vtec engagement point. it's a noticable difference, especially when you move near redline...you've just got no power at all.

if vtec fails to engage, you'll throw a code. but of course, you won't know that, because your light is already on from the o2 sensor.

as i said above in response to fook, having the MIL on for an o2 sensor problem will not prevent vtec from engaging.
