Default Keeping Computer Settings (no battery)

Hey All,

Someone may have posted something like this in here before, but I thought I'd share this little trick with everyone. If you ever have to unhook your battery to replace it or do audio work or whatever, but don't want to lose your computer or radio settings, here is how you do it. All you need is a flashlight lantern battery with the two spring terminals on top, and an old or new cigarrete lighter plug from radar detector or cd player. You can buy them at Rado Shack if you need to. Anyway, strip the positive and negative wires on the plug and hook them to the positive and negative terminals on the lantern battery and then put the plug in your cigarette lighter. this will keep a small charge in your system long enough for you to do whatever and hook your battery back up without losing all your settings. I know they sell devices that will do the same thing but just making one is probably cheaper. Anyway, I hope this helps someone.
