When I installed my short shifter I already had a Greddy Cat-back on it did not hang that much lower, Getting longer hangers will not work, my dad is a mechanic and he said that having it will not help at all b/c it is still hooked to the header. The header is not going to hang any lower if you have longer hangers.
thats weird. goes to show not all cars are built exactly the same. but you can get the exhaust to hang lower from the cat to the back, it flexs a lil there cause of the bolts used to attach the cat to the header has springs on it. i would just take it to a muffler shop and see what they can do and get second opinons on what to do if the shifter hitting on the exhuast gets too annoying.
