I just made it up.
John didn't make it, he thrashed the timing belt tensioner and couldn't get it fixed in time to make it. And actually, looks like he's not gonna make it today either:sad: They couldn't get the part yesterday, gonna try and get ahold of it today, but by the time it get's fixed, eliminations will be over. So no drags for John this trip. He's bummed too, he was looking forward to seeing how fast he is now. But once he gets back home, he's gonna swap out the H22 timing belt stuff for a H23 setup which he says is more reliable so hopefully he won't have this problem anymore.

I'm not sure exactly what happened to the NSX, but I was watching the tape over and over and it didn't sound like anything imploded, but there was a "hesitation" of some sort right before the white smoke came out and he shut it down. On a side note, he was spanking the S2000 pretty nicely before the tradgedy, had him by about two car lengths and the s2k ended up running a 13.9
