I've got a few questions about mufflers. First off, i know a cat back exhaust would be far better in terms of performance, but is it strongly advised not to just go with a muffler right now cuz its cheaper? Also, if i were to get just a muffler right now, how easy would it be to use that same muffler and change the cat and the downpipe at some later time?

Lastly, can anyone do a rating scale on mufflers? I know GReddy, A'Pexi and Tanabe among others, but can u rank a bunch in terms of how good they are? And are there any cheap-ass brands (ala ebay) that still work alrite? I dont wanna sound like a lawnmower, but i dont wanna sound like a dentist drill - ricer either. so that, and decent performance, are issues. Thanks all.
