if you read the warranty card of your aftermarket header it usually says the warranty is void with header wrap. this is cause the wrap traps moisture which can cause rust and probably cause cracks in the welds prematurely too from the trapped moisture and getting hot.

header wrap is for race cars, not daily drivers.
