Spray tint it evenly, about 6 to 8 coats, and then clearcoat 3 to 4 coats.
i had the car driven around for like 4 weeks and washed it like about that many times before i clearcoated it so in real life it looks like ass... honestly, when i first did it, it looked good, so don't wait in the middle and then clearcoat it. In case you were wondering, I've been pulled over once in the past 14 months for it. no ticket.
