Can you explain how a glue on dash kit will affect the electrics in any way?? Also I have heard too many stories and quotes of Dealers trying to shift blame for warranty fixes to unrelated mods to buy that last line. Case in point, the V6 tranny problems. Some dealers tried to shift blame to any power mods. One guy I know was told his intake was teh cause when in reality, the few ponies an intake gives isnt enough to kill a tranny, and the number of stock cars with blown trannies was high enough for H of A to extend the warranty on them for 7 yrs/100k.
Dealers dont get reimbursed as much for warranty work as they do when you foot the bill.
Since I have no idea what a dash kit is or does, I apologize if I was too strong. My only point was that if you mess with anything remotely related to a warranted item, you run the risk of voiding the warranty.
If a dealer can find a
reasonable excuse not to cover a repair, then I wouldn't be surprised if he took that approach.
