Does heavy rain cause problems?
I have a 97 Integra with the stock suspension (for now) and 17" rims w/ Yokohama AVS ES 100 tires. Intake/Exhaust is stock.
I believe the exhaust is original and the car has 130,000 miles.
My issue is that when there is very heavy rain coming down or large pools of water, the car seems to bog down. Meaning it feels like the transmission/exhaust shakes and rattles and I lose some power. I have never had this happen with any other car.
I'll be driving down the highway in heavy rain and every now and then it does this. I'll ease up on the gas and take it out of gear for a few seconds, then ease it back in and it seems ok for a little while.
Anyone else experience this in their Teg? My only guess is somehow water is getting into the exhaust somehow because I can rev the engine just fine.
Is it time for a new exhaust?
Thanks!
