it wont damage anything (other than your shocks), but you wont be getting much out of the springs in terms of handling... just the look, i guess.

If youre low on cash, why not save for a while and put both in at the same time... that way you'll only have to remove the strut assemblies once, and save yourself a lot of time and effort.
