WOOW!!! I am surprized at all these posts and no one was able to answer that... TAKE IT OFF. Basically, what it does is make your intake quieter as it reaches higher RPMs. Take it off, and all the hoses that are with it. One hose will lead to your throttle body, once that hose is taken off, cap the end with a plug. If you have any more concerns/questions on this issue. IM me at dmplayer23
