Another thing to remember is that pricing depends on location too. Here in my area of the east coast machine shops cost more than down in NASCAR country, and they're still more expensive than California where you can almost find a machine shop on every city block. The best thing to do is visit a few machine shops, see what kind of work they do, and get quotes from them for the work you want done. If the price is too good to be true, and the shop looks shady, keep walking. Also, shipping your block off to the company that makes the sleeves you want to use is also an added comfort that the job will be done right.
