Is going LS/Vtec worth it?
I'm about 99.9% sure I'm going to swap in an LS-Vtec hybrid into my 89 4door. But before I go through with it, I just need a little feedback. First off, about how much more hp & torque does a LS hybrid generate, than a stock b16a? I know a stock B16a is rated 160 hp, but how much of it is at the wheels? Because an LS-Vtec with a stock b16a head and stock b18a block dynoed at about 145 hp. Basically, I just wanna know If I can make some kick ass power with this thing, or should I just go the normal route and just throw in a b16, like everyone else? Any opinions, or comments would be extremely helpful.:thumbup:
