I guess... there wasn't a whole lot to it, but I was a little scared at first.
First, I made a template out of card board by taping around the shape of the back side of the sidemarker and cutting the extra on the inside off with an exacto-knife. Then I pulled the tape off really carefully and put it on the cardboard. I then cut the shape out of the cardboard.
Then I put it up on the car and looked at the image I printed of the actual JDM fenders and markers to try to get them in the right place.
I taped the template to the fender and made the cuts with my Dremel tool using the flex shaft and a cutting wheel. I cut them really narrow so that I had plenty of room to file and get the shape right.
I filed and checked and filed and checked until it was right and the marker fit in there.
Then I took a piece of paper and held it up to the cut I made and ran a crayon over the top of that and the space between the fender and the door to give me a location.
I taped that paper to another piece of cardboard with the crayon mark side against the cardboard and cut the shape out along with the curve of the door.
Then, I taped that new tempate to the other fender using the door gap as a reference and made the other cut. Repeat previous instructions...
That's it.
