I used to run two pioneer 12's. The grey/black ones, IMPP.

I listen to alot of different music, but usually, I'm bumping rock. Given that, I need alot of range, since my music isn't all in the low frequencies.

Pioneers subs are good for rap and shit that hits low. But for SQ, I would choose something else. My Kickers improved sound ten fold.

I still use a Pioneer HU, the 6400 model, but I'm considering getting something new. I'm still not happy with the clarity of the mids and highs, yet they're getting enough power.

after I clear up somemore of my debt, I'm probably gonna go alpine or JVC, maybe clarion.
