Of course, the same rule applies to you. Just because you believe it is wrong doesn't mean that you are right. However, it doesn't really matter because God still loves you (John 3:16 says it all). All that is required is to accept His love. 
But the difference is I'm not preaching that I'm correct and someone else is wrong. Thats the difference and THATS why people (not all people, but most of the ones I now) hate Christians.
