under god shouldn't be in the pledge anyway since the country is so diverse that now a huge portion do not believe in any god. so what's more offensive. if the words "under god" were never in the pledge to begin with, would you biblethumpers really be that mad? but the second it's taken out you all go nuts like it was supposed to have been there because we're all supposed to be just like you.
