i've tried driving the car with the a/c off for the past couple of days and i must say that it has solved the problem. just the other day coming home from work the problem came back on the highway when all of a sudden the car felt like it was hesitating... i kept my foot steady on the gas and turned the a/c off, the problem strangely went away. i find this problem really annoying and unacceptable with a car of this class, and will keep bugging the dealer until they fix it.

ps. if anyone has this same problem and has successfully got this fixed, please let us know.... as it looks like there might be a fair amount of people with similar problems.
