amen for bored manual reading! it's great to keep by the toilet! i would have to agree abouth the switch fixing the prob. obviously if the motor is running it shouldn't be it, sounds like the wire to close it has come loose or switch has gone bad. need to do some toilet reading though because there should be a test for that switch, i.e. ohm'ing it out or bypassing it just to see if it is the switch
