I think the smartest thing they did with the RSX was give the Type S a 6 speed. It makes a difference. I know that the exhaust and intake on a type s will make a big difference. They are a "caged animal" from the factory with the restrictive exhaust. Once you free them up a bit they are fast. Same with the Mustangs, there is a great article in one of the Ford mags this month about how to boost the stock torque on the GT up 35 ft/lbs (dyno tested) and only spending $800 to do it.
Ya, I'm not a jerk about having a V8.....the whole idea of a discussion form is to be informative, not hurl insults. You can never be too careful what you race on the road, just because you have a Stang, it doesn't mean the other guy doesn't have the modifications to beat you. You're only invincable in a Stang once you drop a 427 or 460 big block in it.
