That's what happens when you buy chips, you don't know what you're getting.
some of those chips are making use of the ecu feature called A/c cutout, there is actually an independant wire that runs to the ecu to control specifically this feature.
A REAL race car doesn't have A/C. Just like a REAL racecar isn't an automatic, so most of the chips disable the code that looks for the Auto tranny lockup solenoid, same principle.
...I'm not flaming, just shedding some light on the A/C thing...
