Default '06-'07Civic foglights easily broken

If you get a civic, do not order the optional foglights. The lenses are easily cracked and cost $250-325 to replace one foglight. This applies at least to those installed on the 2006-2007 civic coupe. Four months ago, I had to have the passenger side foglight replaced due to a cracked lens.... last week the drivers side foglight lens got cracked. Each time you have Honda replace a foglight it costs roughly $300 because the entire front bumper needs to be completely removed in order to replace a foglight. You have to buy the entire foglight assembly because they are sold as one unit. Personally, I think it's due to the fact that the foglights are so close to the ground, and the fact that Honda designed the foglights to be difficult to replace. They could have made it simpler... and made the foglight lenses stronger. But that would cut down on profits made by the dealers who replace them when broken. Not happy at all!!

OEM fogs > eBay fogs

You might want to think about getting a clear bra for the front of your car. We have had great success with them at our dealership.

I have heard people get very upset about their new OEM foglights cracking/breaking. In fact College Hills Honda is aware and they offer that part as a separate item on their exterior sales list:

2006-2008 Civic OEM foglight replacement

They go for about $102.63 at the time of me linking this.
