Thanks for bumping a dead thread to post the consensus view.

I'll add to the dead post.

Even though the Mugen Civic Si is sold at $30k, you have to keep in mind that all the Mugen parts and the car itself has a warranty. Not bad considering the dealership/Honda will warranty performance street parts. The car is tuned on Twin Ring Motegi so it is track ready while being streetable. Even though it is a $30k Civic, it isn't just the name brand parts that make it sound overpriced.

Agree, I just can't get up to really caring for a 4dr Civic Si/Mugen anyway, considering Si's were always either a hatch/coupe. Yeah, I'd rather have a STI,MR or even a S2K for that money w/ more hp!!!

thread revival ftL.

honestly, we're all hating on a car that none of us have owned or driven for a prolonged period.

maybe its just so super awesome to drive that the 30k is worthwhile.

(i doubt it, but hey we have to keep our minds open)

I've driven it for prolonged periods...and it isn't worth 30k.

I've driven an SI a good bit and I know with that car it's not all about horsepower or torque.

you can buy everthing that is on the mugen and put it on your SI. that is about 12k. when you buy the car pre made you save 2k. The thing that pisses me off is the fact that it is a limited edition car and they didn't even number them.
