the accord is quicker. the MT accord runs about 14.6 . the auto accord runs about 15.1. so the SI would be a drivers race against the auto accord.

Got these numbers from Car and Driver. Bone stock/no mods. Just look in the back of any C and D mag and they are listed along with about 200 or so other cars. Oh, one little mistake ...the V6 Accord coupe stick runs a 14.5 not 14.6 as I stated earlier. sorry....h:

just so we are both on the same page here and we are talking about the same cars. Here is the 1/4 times taken from Car & Driver:

99/00 Civic SI - 15.7

06 Honda Accord V6 stick - 14.5

06 Honda Civic si - 15.1

06 Honda Accord V6 auto - 15.1

that is interesting......the accord would only take regular unleaded, but the extra mpg of the SI would offset that cost.....which cheaper to insure?.....about the same to buy.....

Si Styles (MSRP: $21,090 - $23,040) 23/32

LX V-6 Styles (MSRP: $25,200) Invoice $22,706 20/29

I'd rather have an Accord V6 any day. You can get one of those with the 6MT right?...

It'd be nice to drive an SI for a little while though. Too bad they'll probably be hard to get.

yeah, the accord comes with a 6 speed. and yes, the Si is hard to get. here in wichita the dealership got 8 for 2006- and I waited 3 months and had no choice as to what color I got (unless I wanted to wait longer... luckily, the one up for me was red, and I wasn't going to complain). The waiting list for 2007 is past december 07 at this dealership.
Norman, OK got between 5 and 7 for 2006. I don't know how it was elsewhere.

A four door Si... that just doesn't sit well with me. They'll probably introduce it with an optional automatic or CVT, too.

Back in the good old days, the four door Si was called an EX.
EXACTLY!
