yes, spanky. games incite people to literally act out the content. don't be dense. despite the fact that it has happened - there are a few incidents of someone blasting another away because they "wanted to get out of the matrix" - that's not what anyone is trying to say here.
uhhh.. violent games were around well before doom, mr. short-sighted. :eh: and once again, like both kestrel and i said, there was a significant push in the 90s to combat crime because it was so absurdly out of hand.

Sure, and by the late 80s/early 90s, crime had bulged to that level without the popularity of violent video games.

so tell me then, what do YOU think are the biggest factors in the fact that today we have over 3 times the violent crime per 100,000 people than we had 50 years ago? please don't cop out like before by saying that it's "infinitely" complex. it really isn't.
