Harsh shifting with my 94 accord auto tranny
The auto tranny on my 94 accord is coming close to 90000 miles and i notice its starting to jerk the car when shifting ocassionally. I just got the tranny fluid replaced about 9 months ago and I don't if it was from that or the cold weather, but it seemed fine then. According to app.consumerguide.com, a solution to this problem would be to add some lubeguard ATF protectant. Has anyone ever added this stuff (or others like it)? Does it help?

i read somewhere that i should add the same stuff too. i just added a bit more tranny fluid and just dealt with it. it also didnt seem to downshift the way i wanted it do, but when i had it checked out before it was sold, everything was kosher. its probably just the miles on the car.

I had almost same problem as your Accord.
I did try the lubeguard ATF and no improvement....
Waste of money...
After I changed to Honda ATF..
Problem disappeared..
HONDA AT = Genuine HONDA ATF Nothing else..
