Default Code for Stock Radio

I need to disconnect the battery to perform some work on my 94 2Dr LX 5MT Accord. (With Stock Radio/Cassette player).

If I understand correctly on reconnecting the battery the Radio will prompt me for a 5 digit security code. How can I find this code?
I bought the car used from a private party ( I did not ask/receive any code as I did not know about it at that time).

What should I do?

Thanks!

IIRC you can get the code from the back of the radio or from the dealership by providing your VIN and proof of ownership. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yup, you have to pull out the radio, or they will charge you for labor tho!

Default Cool... but

Thanks for the info...

I was wondering what is the point in having a security code... and having it at the back of the radio itself... am I missing something...? However, I can understand the dealer method....

Cheers!

the actual code isnt on the radio itself. Its just a reference code so the dealer can look up the real code in there computer

They can get the code from the VIN#, my car has been in a billion times and I know they never pulled my radio for the code.

That code is stupid...why the f would you steal a factory 15w x 4 radio from a car with a factory alarm when I could steal a brand new 45w x 4 Pioneer from the Kia up the street.

Well maybe they changed it for the 6th Gen's, but I know for the fifth gens...good luck, most dealers require you to pull the radio, and they look it up based on the number in the back of the radio.
